Growth Aids for Longer Hair

I know there are many growth aids out there, today I am going to share with you some growth aids, that I used while I was transitioning as well as after I did the big chop. These growth aids can be used at any stage of your hair journey.

Castor Oil:I swear by this method. Apply it at least 3 times a week to your scalp and see growth within a month

Inversion Method:This method requires you to heat any type of oil (castor oil, olive oil, almond oil ect.) in the microwave and apply it to your scalp. Then massage your scalp for 5-10 minutes and finally invert your head, or place your head between your legs (upside down) for 4 minutes. Do this everyday for a week (7 days). It does work, I got half an inch or hair growth at the end of the week. Some say they get a full inch of hair growth by the end of day 7. This is my least favorite method, but it does work.

Green Tea:I started drinking green tea, just because I heard that it can increase hair growth, so far I have not seen significant growth, but when you healthy on the inside, it shows on the outside.

Finger detangling:So far so good – i find that using my fingers instead of a comb – prevents my hair from snapping hence helping to retain length. Lots of conditioner is needed. Some wash days this method takes forever and some less than 10 minutes. I divide my hair into as many sections as needed, apply conditioner and detangle.

Apple cider vinegar:This simple household product is amazing. I have read many posts and many dilute apple cider vinegar in different ways. I use 1 part apple cider vinegar with 2 parts water. I then pour it into a spray bottle and spritz it all over my hair. The apple cider vinegar is a natural conditioner and it also clarifies the scalp. Many use apple cider vinegar instead of shampoo. It leaves your hair clean and shiny. The best part is that you don’t even smell like vinegar, the smell disappears. I use apple cider vinegar every week.
